Accountability Without the Pressure
Body doubling isn’t a group chat or study group. It’s structured time where you’re seen — without pressure to perform. There’s no need to talk, turn on your camera, or explain yourself. Just show up, set your goal, and feel the energy of others doing the same. It’s low effort, high impact. This is a quiet, structured focus room for ADHD brains. No small talk, no pressure, no “hustle” vibes, just gentle accountability that helps you start and finish.

How It Works
Body doubling is simple but powerful: you set aside focused time and show up—virtually or in person—alongside someone else who’s also working on their own task. You don’t need to collaborate or even talk much; the presence of another person provides accountability, structure, and momentum. Instead of facing a project alone, you have someone “in the room” keeping you anchored, helping you start, and making it easier to keep going until you’re done.
Join the Public Room
Hop into the all-day public group any time you need company while working or studying.
Drop Into Focus
Announce your task, settle in, and use the shared space to stay present and accountable.
Evening Sessions
For extra structure, join guided evening sessions where everyone starts and ends together.
Stay Consistent
Come back as often as you like — the mix of drop-in and scheduled groups keeps momentum going.
Low-Pressure Co-Working
This isn’t a productivity cult. No toxic positivity. No “just grind harder” energy. Just people trying to stay afloat, together. It’s a low-pressure co-working room with light facilitation. Cameras/mics optional. You don’t have to speak or explain yourself. You’ll be seen — without being put on the spot.
Structured Focus
Guided flow with live moderators
Our moderators keep the pace with check-ins, timed focus blocks, and short breaks. You just share your goal in chat and dive in — we handle the structure so you can stay engaged, finish tasks, and leave with a clear win.
Isn’t Body Doubling a Bit Weird?
It can sound odd, quietly working online with other people. In practice, it’s simple and effective: light social presence + clear structure = easier starts, fewer derailments, and steady progress. No forced chat, no camera required.
Why Body Doubling Works for ADHDers
When executive function is overloaded, starting is the hardest part. Body doubling adds light social presence and a simple, predictable rhythm—check in, sprint, short break—that lowers friction and nudges your brain into motion. You don’t have to talk or perform; you just show up, name one small task, and work alongside others doing the same. That modest bit of accountability and structure turns “thinking about it” into steady, doable action—and makes boring tasks far more tolerable.
House Rules
This is a quiet, respectful space: be kind, keep noise low, and use chat mainly for quick check-ins. No selling, promos, or unsolicited DMs. Camera and mic are optional — come as you are. Sessions aren’t recorded. Use a name you’re comfortable with and protect your privacy. If anything feels off, let the session moderator know and they’ll handle it.
